The staff at Surf Bay Leisure are at the heart of what we do. Our friendly, diverse team strive to exceed your expectations by getting the job done and by doing it properly. We aim to build a great relationship with all of our customers by delivering a professional and efficient service that you can trust.
Michael worked alongside his Father in the Caravan business and has been involved in the Caravan industry for the last 40 years. He took over as Managing Director in 1999 when Surf Bay Leisure became a Limited Company.
Michael has been involved for over 25 years in the repair and refurbishment side of the business, working closely with Jardine Lloyd Thompson on the Industry Disaster Plan.
New Holiday Homes Sales Director
Darren joined Surf Bay Leisure in April 1999 as a Sales Advisor and progressed to the position of Sales Manager for new holiday homes. In January 2014, Darren was appointed as a Director and deals with all aspects of the business including on park sales, trade, retail and customer care.
Used Holiday Homes Sales Director
Adam joined Surf Bay Leisure in August 1999 as a Sales Advisor and progressed to the position of Used Holiday Homes Sales Manager. In January 2014, Adam was appointed as a Director and deals with all aspects of the business including export & pre-owned holiday homes.
General Manager of Surf Bay Holidays
Josh is the Grandson of the late John Taylor and son of our Managing Director Michael Taylor. Josh is in charge of on-park sales at all of our holiday parks.
Southwest Sales Team
Group Sales Manager
Matt joined Surf Bay Leisure in 2009 and is our Group Sales Manager. He oversees all of our Sales across the 3 sales centres along with looking after our key accounts across the South West.
Sam joined Surf Bay Leisure in November 2014 as a Sales Advisor and is based at our busy showroom in Winkleigh, Devon. Sam deals with private land sales, both new and preowned, as well as assisting holiday park customers. He works closely with Adam, selling pre-owned caravans to trade customers. He is the voice behind the growing YouTube channel, featuring video walkthroughs of our preowned models.
New Holiday Homes Sales Co-ordinator
Charleen deals will all aspects of sales admin, the go to person if in need of any information relating to our orders and delivered sales. She works diligently 'behind the scenes' making sure that all of our sales information is up to date. Not to mention keeping our sales team on their toes!!
Area Sales Manager - Somerset & Dorset
Ryan joined Surf Bay Leisure early in 2021, and has over 15 years’ experience in the holiday home industry.
He is based at our Somerset sales centre in Brean, advising new and existing customers on holiday home ownership. Ryan looks after our trade accounts across Somerset and Dorset.
Area Sales Manager- Devon & Cornwall
Chris joined us in February 2023, as our Retail Showroom Consultant. however due to an internal promotion, he has recently changed positions and now looks after a large selection of holiday parks across Devon and Cornwall and manages the trade aspect across these parks.
Rachel has recently joined us to work alongside Ryan at our busy sales centre in Brean. She is responsible for the retail contact and enquiries that come through for the Somerset area.
Customer Care Team
Service Development Manager
Ben joined us in March 2023 and heads up the Service and Customer Care department, He is responsible for the day to day operations within this area of our business along with developing new procedures and systems to streamline the customer care experiance.
Assistant Service Manager
James has very recently joined us and works very closely with Ben to help and assist with customer care operations, he is responsible for warehouse operations, warranty submissions and stock management.
Customer Care Administrator
Claire joined Surf Bay Leisure in September 2003. She co-ordinates all of our POI inspections and progresses all the warranty claims in the Customer Care Team.

Eve has also recently joined us and works alongside Claire and James administrating all aspects of the customer care procedure.

Senior Customer Care Engineer
Steve joined Surf Bay Leisure in May 1998 and is our senior Customer Care Engineer. He carries out any warranty repairs and assessments for insurance repairs. Steve is fully conversant with all aspects of caravan holiday home manufacture and is also Gas Safe registered and Morco Approved.
Customer Care Engineer
Duncan joined our Customer Care Department in February 2018 and works alongside Steve and the rest of his team ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards.

Simon is the latest to our road based engineers line up. He is responsible for carrying out PDI inspections through to any warranty work, always ensuring that the highest quality of workmanship is always demonstrated.
Sam joined Surf Bay Leisure in November 2003 as a Sales Ledger Clerk, before becoming a Purchase Ledger Clerk and now, Management Accountant. At the end of 2007 Sam passed her final AAT exams and works closely with Darren and the Sales team.
Mel came back to work for Surf Bay in 2013 after having a few years off to start a family with her husband, Steve. She is a valuable member of our team and works part time assisting our Accounts Department.
Purchase Ledger Clark
Sue joined our Accounts Department at Surf Bay Leisure in November 2018 and deals with all of our purchase ledger and our payroll.
Ray joined Surf Bay in 2016 as our IT manager. He deals with the day to day running of our computer systems and services.
ICT Installations Technician
Steve ensures the day to day running of the workshop runs smoothly and ensuring that any work that is carried out on holiday homes is completed by our deadlines.
