Ringstead

Ringstead is a small hamlet about 6 miles from Weymouth and West Lulworth on the south Dorset coast with the coastal path running alongside offering some fantastic walks. The village is on the Jurassic Coast and is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The coastline here is stunning and quiet, with plenty of space for all of the family to enjoy and a pebble and shingle beach that becomes more sandy as you approach the Weymouth end of the beach. There are plenty of fossils to be found here and the beach has easy access, popular in the summer with tourists and there is always plenty of space to settle down and enjoy a day in the sun. Weymouth and Dorchester are a short drive, there are many attractions here for the family and places to visit including Monkey World and Weymouth Sea Life Aquarium. A great little village if you want peace and quiet on the south Dorset coastline.
