Coming to work today and listening to the radio talking about World Book Day - I started to think of how many books I know/have read that contain caravans of one sort or another.
Some of them I read a long time ago ... The Famous Five were always off on holiday of some sort or another, then there was the Magic Faraway Tree and Danny the Champion of the World. But my favourite of all time has to be Wind in the Willows and Mr Toad's Canary coloured caravan. The story decks the wall of my daughter's bedroom on a range of Wedgewood plates, so that it can be re-told time and time again just "out of my head".
What are you dressing up as for World Book Day? Or have you got a favourite story that contains a caravan? I've just found one called "Caravan Fran" that I am going to look out for.
